this knife is very high quality and fits my hand perfectly.the opening system is perfect.locks tight when its open-end not hard to push the lock to close.the steel is very hard to sharpen ya have to have a quality stone.this knife will last for a lifetime.

Unbelievable, this thing is built like a tank. It’s my first Hinderer, and like they say, it’s “overbuilt.” Doesn’t make it overly heavy or anything, but it does feel like it could take all kinds of use and possibly abuse. It’s slooowly breaking it, the Bowie-battle action I mean. It’s always very smooth once past the detent, it just needs a little wearing, it is actually a bit different than other Bowie’s you may be used to and I recommend looking up some YouTube videos for proper technique. Fit and finish were excellent, though it was a bit difficult to use. XM-18 3.5 finish is beautiful
